Thermal treatment remediation technology refers to the process of heating the polluted medium and the organic pollutants it contains to a sufficient temperature (150~540℃) through direct or indirect heat exchange to volatilize or separate the organic pollutants from the polluted medium. According to the temperature, it can be divided into low-temperature thermal treatment technology (soil temperature is 150~315℃) and high-temperature thermal treatment technology (soil temperature is 315~540℃). Thermal treatment remediation technology is suitable for treating volatile organic matter, semi-volatile organic matter, pesticides, and high-boiling point chlorine and nitrogen compounds in the soil, but is not suitable for treating heavy metals, corrosive organic matter, active oxidants and reducing agents in the soil. Vitrification remediation technology is a process of high-temperature treatment of soil and its pollutants at 1600~2000℃ to remove organic matter and some inorganic compounds, such as nitrates, phosphates and carbonates, from the soil in the form of volatilization or pyrolysis.
